The words “YOGASANA” (or asana in brief) refers to a posture in one feel while keeping the body active internally. The Rishis (Vedic sages) had keenly observed the seating and standing posture of the different animals, which in spite of limited faculties, have wonderful physical capabilities that man is deprived of. They have studied effect of different posture in the laboratory of their own body and develop specific asanas which had rejuvenating effect on the entire body, mind and soul system.

With each step of asanas once syllable of Gayathri manta included. Along with physical exercise one mental concentration and spiritual purity is exercised. It is a series of sixteen step as: –

In total there are sixteen (16) steps of asanas are there and four (4) asanas are repeated in series.
